Who we are
OMO is built and operated by Aarambh Labs, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. OMO is software that a housing society uses to run its maintenance billing, its complaints, its gate and its accounts. If you have any question about this policy, write to aarambhlabs@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your name and your flat number.
- Your mobile number, which is how you sign in.
- Invoices raised to your flat, and the payments made against them.
- Complaints and tickets you raise, and their history.
- Visitor entries logged at the gate, including who was expected, the flat they came for, and the time.
- Technical logs, meaning device type, app version, and crash or error reports.
Why we collect it
Only to run the services your society has asked for. Raising and collecting maintenance, issuing receipts, routing complaints to the right vendor, logging visitors, and showing the society ledger. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not use your data to train anything that leaves your society.
What we never do
We never sell or rent your data. We do not share it with anyone outside your society, other than the service providers we need to run OMO, such as our cloud host and the payment gateway, and only to the extent they need it to do their job.
Payments
Card, UPI and bank details are collected and handled by a licensed payment gateway. OMO never sees and never stores your card number or your UPI credentials. We store only the payment reference, the amount, the time and the status, because those are what make your receipt and the society ledger correct.
Where the data lives
Your data is stored in Supabase in the Mumbai region, ap-south-1. It is encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest. Access is restricted by row level security, so a resident sees their own flat, the committee sees the society, and a guard sees only what is needed at the gate.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your society uses OMO. Financial records, meaning invoices, payments and ledger entries, are kept for as long as Indian law requires the society to keep its books, even after an account is closed.
Your rights
Write to aarambhlabs@gmail.com to get a copy of your data, to correct something that is wrong, or to have your data deleted. We answer within 30 days. Where a record is part of the society's accounts, we may need to keep the financial entry itself while removing your personal details from it.
Children
OMO is meant for adult residents and committee members. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page, and for any material change we tell the society committee before it takes effect.
